Windows 10 and 11
When you click the “Download your eBook now – click here” button, there are two things that might happen:
- It might ask you where to save it, in which case you can choose a sensible folder and save it there.
- But the most likely thing is that it’ll automatically save it for you in a folder called “Downloads” and it’ll look like nothing much has happened. If this happens…
Here’s how to find the file in your Downloads folder:
- To find your Downloads folder, click on the yellow folder icon (for File Explorer) down on the taskbar at the bottom of your screen:
- In the window that appears, look for “Downloads” in the column on the left and click on that:
- You should see the downloaded file near the top of the page. It’s called: TechBuyersGuideEbook.pdf
- Double click on the file to open it, or if you want to move it to your Documents folder, right-click on it. In the menu that appears, look for “Send to >” (in Windows 11, you’ll need to click on “Show more options” first) and hover your mouse over it, then click on “Documents”.
Apple Macs
When you click the “Download your eBook now – click here” button, it might ask you if you’re happy to allow downloads from our website – if so, just click on “Allow”. It will then automatically save it for you in a folder called “Downloads” and it’ll look like nothing much has happened.
Here’s how to find the file in your Downloads folder:
- To find your Downloads folder, click on the smiley face icon (for the Finder app) down on the dock at the bottom of your screen:
- In the window that appears, look for “Downloads” in the column on the left and click on that:
- You should see the downloaded file near the top of the window. It’s called: TechBuyersGuideEbook.pdf
- Double click on the file to open it. Or if you want to move it to your Documents folder, hold down the Control key on the keyboard and click on the file. In the menu that appears, look for “Copy”. Then go to the folder you want to move the file to, and Control-click on a blank bit of the window in that folder. Choose “Move Item Here”.
Android Devices
When you tap on the “Download your eBook now – click here” button, there are two things that might happen:
- The file might open straight away.
- The file might be automatically saved to your device.
If it opens straight away:
- In the open PDF file, look for a three dots menu button in the top right corner.
- Tap on that and then choose “Save” or “Download” in the menu that appears.
- If you can’t see a three dots button, try tapping in the middle of the page and it should appear.
- Choose somewhere to save the file where you’ll be able to find it again, such as the Files app on your device.
If the file doesn’t open straight away and has just been automatically saved to your device…
- The most likely place for a downloaded file to end up is in your Files app. So start by opening the Files app.
- You can either tap on “Downloads” to find it, or you can try searching the app using the search box at the top of the screen. The name of the file is TechBuyersGuideEbook.pdf. Just tap on it to open it.
iPhones and iPads
When you tap on the “Download your eBook now – click here” button, the PDF will automatically open on your iPhone or iPad.

- Swipe up on the list of options till you get to “Save to Files”.
- It’ll automatically take you to your “Downloads” folder, and you can save it in there – just tap on “Save”.
- To find it again later, start by opening the Files app. Usually it’ll show you all your recent files when you first open the app, so it might already be there. But after a while, when it’s not recent any more, you’ll need to find the folder you stored it in.
- On an iPad, you’ll see the “Downloads” folder on the left panel of the screen – just tap on that to open the folder.
On an iPhone you might need to tap on “Browse” and then on “Downloads”. - The file is called TechBuyersGuideEbook.pdf and you just tap on it to open it.
